Enforcement Non-Compliance Action

PPMS were first instructed 18 February 2002, several days before clients were due to attend Barnet Magistrates Court to answer summonses for non-compliance 21 February 2002.The Honourable Ms Mary Macpherson of counsel 2 Mitre Court Buildings was instructed to attend the hearing

Prior to our instruction, the two properties had a negative planning history having been refused planning consent both individually and jointly. An enforcement Notice was served and a Section 174 appeal was dismissed 5 January 2000.It was this failure to comply with the upheld Enforcement Notice that resulted in the Magistrates Court hearings.

PPMS submitted further applications to retain the loft conversions as built and lobbied the entire planning sub-committee and were successful in getting the Members to overturn the officers recommendation to refuse both applications, consents were granted 24 June 2002.
